For more than six years I worked across different domains of a large-scale e-commerce platform, taking part in the design and evolution of systems and product features.
My work covered the full stack: architecture and backend, the store admin panel, the storefront and checkout, plus integrations with related domains.

Payments
Designed and led the evolution of the payments architecture from native integrations to an API- and microservices-based platform, enabling the integration of 30+ payment methods across Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Chile.
01 · Context
The platform relied on native, one-off integrations with each payment method, which made it costly to add new providers and expand into new countries.
02 · Architecture
We designed an API- and microservices-based platform that decoupled checkout from each payment method's specific integration, defining common contracts for onboarding, charges, refunds, and notifications.
03 · Implementation
I led development of the platform's core services and supported the progressive migration of existing payment methods to the new model without interrupting ongoing operations.
04 · Security
We added validations and additional controls to reduce fraud and protect sensitive payment data, in line with each provider's and country's requirements.
05 · Expansion
The new architecture made it possible to add 30+ payment methods across Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Chile, adapting to each region's regulatory and market particularities.
06 · Result
We drastically reduced the time and effort needed to integrate a new payment method, laying the groundwork for the international expansion of Nuvemshop's checkout.

Took part in building a new domain focused on account security, authentication, permissions, and session management, including 2FA and controls for sensitive actions.
01 · Context
Account security and access management were spread across several domains, with no unified view of authentication, permissions, and sessions.
02 · Design
I took part in designing a dedicated domain to centralize authentication, permissions, and session management, with a data and event model built to scale to new security use cases.
03 · Implementation
I built two-factor authentication (2FA) features and additional controls for sensitive account actions, reducing the risk surface against unauthorized access.
04 · Result
We laid the groundwork for a dedicated account security domain, able to evolve toward new access controls and policies.

Promotions
Nuvemshop's promotions were basic, and many sellers relied on third-party apps. We built a dedicated domain, with combination rules and a public discounts API, to give the product more flexibility.
01 · Context
The platform's native promotions were limited (mainly simple discounts), so many sellers turned to third-party apps to build more sophisticated promotions.
02 · Design
We designed a dedicated promotions domain, supporting different types (product discounts, category discounts, order-value discounts, free shipping, among others) and rules for combining them.
03 · Public API
We exposed a public discounts API so partners and third-party apps could integrate with the new promotions engine, expanding the ecosystem around the domain.
04 · Coordination
I worked closely with product, design, and other technical domains (checkout, catalog) to keep combination rules consistent across the platform.
05 · Result
The new promotions domain gave sellers more flexibility to build campaigns without relying on third-party apps, and laid the groundwork for a public discounts API for the partner ecosystem.

Designed and implemented an end-to-end, cross-cutting service to record and query user actions. I documented it, presented it to the Engineering org, and other domains adopted it.
01 · Context
There was no standardized way to record and query the actions users performed within the store admin panel, which made traceability and incident resolution harder.
02 · Design & Implementation
I designed and implemented an end-to-end, cross-cutting activity log service, built to be consumed by multiple platform domains without coupling to each one's business logic.
03 · Adoption
I documented the service and presented it to the Engineering org; following that presentation, other domains adopted it to record their own user actions.
04 · Result
The service became a cross-cutting piece of the platform, improving traceability of user actions and reducing the effort required for each domain to implement its own logging.
